Abbey Road

Abbey Road is just a crosswalk like any other crosswalk in London. I had imagined convincing someone to take a picture of me making the famous crossing (solo or with three others), but this is actually a fairly busy road and traffic didn’t make Beatles re-creations possible.

After my visit, a friend said that there is (or used to be) a camera on that corner. Her son sent her a live video from there. He walked across the street and then stood on the corner and texted with her to make sure she saw the video.

This pair looks like they want to make the crossing.
The famous crosswalk from the other side.

And as my cousin pointed out, the original Abbey Road album cover had five Beatles. Can you find all of them?

The gentleman standing next to the black car on the right was an American tourist named Paul Cole who just happened to be in the vicinity at the time the photo was shot.  He thought they were “kooks”.  Florida Man on cover of ‘Abbey Road’ with Beatles said they were ‘kooks’

Paul McCartney lives in a peaceful suburb (to the left of the blue gate) just a few blocks from Abbey Road.

Not far from Abbey Road is the London Beatles store. Get your fill of Beatles memorabilia here. Perhaps a replica gold record of one of their hits for £160?
