Peach cobbler, peach pound cake, peach loaf with raisins and walnuts, peach BBQ sauce, peach salsa. Yes, I think we went to the Peach Festival!
Marysville isn’t normally thought of as a tourist spot, but if you love peaches, you may want to head out there on the third weekend in July for their annual Peach Festival – dubbed “The Sweetest Fest in the West”.
Peaches are one of the top ten agricultural commodities grown in the Yuba-Sutter region just north of Sacramento, and northern California has the perfect growing conditions for them.
The Peach Festival has lots of peach-based food and drinks – of course! – and nearly 200 art and merchandise vendors to keep things interesting. Don’t forget to enter the pie-eating contest on Saturday!
Located in the areas surrounding 3rd and D Streets in historic downtown Marysville.
