I didn’t like my first apartment in Belgrade, so spent much of the day arranging for and moving to a new one. The new one is near Serbia’s Parliament building. Does it look better by day or by night?
Construction of the building began in 1907, when it was intended to be the National Assembly building for the Kingdom of Serbia. It ws finally completed in 1936. During WWII, it housed the German High Command for Southeastern Europe, then it became the Federal Assembly building for Yugoslavia. Since the fall of Yugoslavia, it has become the parliament building for Serbia once more.
