Tokyo’s Statue of Liberty, called the Goddess of Liberty, stands in Odaiba Harbor. She is roughly one-fifth the size of the original, standing 36′ (11m) high compared to New York’s Liberty, who is 151′ (46m) tall.
The Tokyo Tower was erected in 1957, some 70 years after the original was constructed in Paris. It’s actually 9m taller than the Eiffel Tower.
The Tokyo Tower is more colorful than the original Eiffel Tower in France. In the daytime, the Tokyo Tower is red and white; at night, it’s colorfully lit. Paris’ Eiffel Tower has a small string of Christmas lights along its perimeter which light up for five minutes each hour.
The London Eye, also known as the Millennium Wheel, stands on the bank of the Thames River. It’s 443′ (135m) high. Tokyo’s Daikanrasha Wheel, in Odaiba’s Palette Town, is slightly shorter, at 377′ (115m).
